When Police arrived, two males, later identified as Nathan Hardin and Avary Anderson, jumped of the west side of the back deck. Officer J. Michels detained Anderson just to the west of the deck. Hardin continued running westbound. Officers announced to Hardin they were the Police and to stop, but Hardin continued running. K-9 Officer T. Nunn, Officer J. Triplett and Officer G. Lyons followed Hardin west bound to a red 1997 Honda Civic WA/AZD4555, which was parked in the cul-de-sac in the 30000 block of 128th CT SE. Officers located Hardin in the front passenger seat of the Honda, along with another male, Tyree Mott, who was seated in the driver’s seat of the Civic. Officers detained both Hardin and Mott in handcuffs and K-9 Officer Nunn advised them of their Constitutional Rights. Mott stated the vehicle belonged to him, and he was just sleeping in his vehicle waiting for Anderson and Hardin to collect Hardin’s property out of the residence. When Officers asked Mott why was parked in the cul-de-sac, which was a few blocks west of the residence, and not at the residence, he stated Hardin told him it was a short cut. Officer G. Lyons searched Hardin and located a checkbook with Wood’s name on it, and a bundle of Canadian money, and a few two-dollar bills in his front left jeans pocket. I spoke to Hardin post Miranda, and he stated the residence was his mother’s, Wood’s, residence, and he was there to collect some of his belongings. Hardin said the checkbook belonged to Wood, and she gave …show more content…
Anderson said Hardin told him he was going to give him half of everything and they were going to sell whatever they could on offer up. Anderson said when they got to the residence, Mott stayed in the vehicle, and he and Hardin went to the residence. Anderson said he stayed outside as a “lookout” while Hardin handed him items from inside the residence.
Officer T. Minkler later contacted Jason Trisna, who rents a bedroom from Wood, by phone because he was not at home at the time of the incident. Trisna confirmed the laptop and keyboard belonged to him and came from his room.
Officer Minkler spoke to Wood on the phone, and she stated the tablet and purse found by Anderson were both hers and were in her bedroom. Because Hardin and Anderson each stated the other entered Wood’s residence without her permission, and stole property from inside, there was probable cause to arrest both of them for burglary 2nd degree.
Because Mott had driven Hardin and Anderson to the location, and had knowledge of their intent to steal things from the residence, there was probable cause to arrest him for burglary 2nd
