I recently went on a trip to Europe with my mom, dad, brother, grandma, and grandpa. It was like living out the movie National Lampoon’s European Vacation but with two more people. I experienced a lot of cool and funny stuff throughout the trip and took some pretty cool pictures. So, I thought why not share the experience with you all? Every day I’ll write my experience of each day on my vacation and post pictures as well. The first day might be a bit boring compared to the others because we didn’t get a lot accomplished that day but read it anyways. It 's like the prologue of my awesome story :).

However, I actually didn’t mind it. I think that Paris is beautiful in the rain. The rain sticks to the windows of the car and Parisians are walking around in colorful rain boots and classic black umbrellas. Umbrellas, by the way, were our first souvenirs. After admiring Paris through the windows of our Uber, we were finally dropped off at our Air BnB apartment in Saint Germain. We climbed up the small, wooden, uneven spiral staircase that had to be at least 100 years old. When we walked into our apartment, it had to be the smallest apartment I have seen in my life. Mind you, it was around 6 pm and I have gone 24 hours with 4 hours of sleep, but I was in Paris for a short time and wanted to get as many things done as possible. After I took a shower, I sat on the couch watching French television while waiting for everyone else to get ready. The next thing I knew, my mother was waking me up. I was so confused and for some reason I thought it was the next morning. My mom told it was not. She told me that we both fell asleep on the wrong side of the bed and that we were going to the Eiffel Tower another day. I was really upset for a couple of seconds and then quickly drifted back to sleep.
Moral of the story: Jet lag sucks, don’t plan a lot on your first day, and don’t come to Paris on a
