I was 15 when my best friend told me something that changed my life forever. What was that? She told me how her older brother won a visa in the American visa lottery and he planned to immigrate to the most amazing country in the entire world: U.S.A.!!! It's probably very hard for you to imagine what a great happiness is possibility was to go to the U. S. for a person who lived in Poland at that time. The country that was born and growing up was very poor, and this was caused by the first and Duga World War, and Polish enslavement by the Soviet Union. There were times when on the shelves of the shop was not goods, not being able to buy basic objects, even eating !!! It was a shock for me was that in America you could buy a car, just like that, without the necessity of giving bribes, or ask anyone for help in his capture.
