The active ingredient in Aleve Tablets is naproxen sodium (220 mg) and it is available in 10 ct, 24 ct, 50 ct, 100 ct, 150 ct, and 200 ct. Aleve tablets are used to relieve pain or reduce fevers due to arthritis, menstrual cramps, the common cold, muscular aches, headaches, backaches, and toothaches. The naproxen sodium in Aleve Tablets may cause severe allergic reactions, symptoms include hives, skin reddening, facial swelling, rash, asthma (wheezing), blisters and shock. The naproxen sodium may also cause stomach bleeding. Stomach bleeding risks may increase if you are over age 60, have had stomach ulcers/bleeding problems, take blood thinning/steroid drugs, take other drugs containing prescription/non-prescription NSAIDs, have three or more alcoholic drinks every day while taking naproxen sodium, and take naproxen sodium in larger doses or for a longer …show more content…
