It was very stressful situation to all team, as suddenly we had to make a critical decision that engaged both personal and professional aspects. Process was finally well explored and this last action became beneficial. I was really glad that the team approached it in a very professional way, which strengthen ourselves. One potential pitfall of the Myers-Briggs personality test is that businesses will use the subjective results of the test to give the boot to employees that are determined to be of the unsatisfactory personality type and employers will bring employees on board who are determined to be of the superincumbent, and high-caliber personality type. This discriminatory outcome is feared in most of Carl Gustav Jung’s…

It was a great experience to see the importance of the synergies that were created, as effective division of work and proper communication made a very big project manageable. In this role I often needed to communicate with the other members of my team, for example at the start of every weekly meeting I would have to tell everybody what their task was for that meeting, such as designing the product packaging or doing market research. An example of when I had to influence others was when I was the lead speaker of our team presenting our product to company leaders from HSBC, JP Morgan, Virgin money and others; demonstrating my ability to portray complex information to a large audience. In order to do this successfully, first I needed to do some research into who was going to be in the audience so that I could plan a presentation that would be suited to them; in this case the target audience meant that the presentation needed to be very formal and present information such as previous sales figures and an in depth analysis of the costs of making our product. Therefore because of this I used a PowerPoint presentation listing all of these details making it easier to present the information to the…

Within the business environment, it is a certain fact that at one point in time, every individual will have to present an idea to either management, customers or potential customers. When the time comes, it is of the utmost importance to have an effective and clear presentation that defies the general occurrence of “your audience will mentally check out of your next PowerPoint presentation after about 10 minutes” (Gallo, 2014, para. 1). So, the question is, what makes for an effective presentation and does different settings and audiences require a variance in the presentation design? Within this paper, a presentation done by David JP Phillips, from the Swedish firm, Presentationsteknik.com, will be assessed and discussed, as well as the…
