First, my passion for athletics and sports is what motivates me to get up in the morning. I try to model this enthusiasm in the students I teach and the athletes I coach. I am constantly moving around and rather loud when most people are trying to wake up in the mornings. Initially, students and athletes roll their eyes but it is not long before they are playing along. If I roll a ball in front of one of them, it is not long before others are joining in. Most times, there is equipment that needs to be set up and my time for this is before anyone arrives. It is a pet-peeve of mine when others are setting up during class or practice time. Also, I like when transition is smooth from one activity to another. When I teach and coach, I focus the entire time on movement and little to no down time.
