This strength assessment is very accurate and confirms strengths that I already recognized about myself. My first strength is connectedness. I believe that the strength of connectedness centers on people, your interactions and relationships with them, and how those moments affect your life and the lives of those around you. My second strength is adaptability. Adaptability is the ability to move from task-to-task quickly without becoming disorganized and frustrated. One facet of connectedness means identifying a mentor or mentors to help guide you through your ministry. Personally, I can’t think of any person in ministry that rose to their current position, without a mentor to guide them. A mentor can help you to use your strengths to your advantage, and to help you to identify your weaknesses. This is one way that I have used by strength of connected-ness to help identify my unique position within ministry. When I fail to succeed at a task or pro-ject, I try to take inventory of my actions and weaknesses to see what I could have done differ-ently to improve or change the outcome. Relationships that we have with people can greatly influence who we are, the decisions that we make as leaders, and the vi-sions that we have for the church body. By nurturing relationships with individuals and teams I can display my passion for God through conversations, my work, and my service to others. I can use my ability of connectedness to help people discover their identity in Christ, and break through the silos of people-groups or church departments. In ministry the ability to adapt is essential. I was a student pastor for almost three years. Like most ministry areas, you must be able to multi-task and manage different initiatives at the same time. Being effective sometimes means that you have to switch to-and-from a number of different projects, and ultimately to be able to finish them. When emergencies and unforeseen circumstances occur, this can cause a lot of confusion and panic; being able to stay calm and ad-dress these situations, in a timely and appropriate manner is vital in a ministry
