My Most Significant Epiphanies

Decent Essays
Epiphanies come to me in the strongest of times. Be it in the shower, on the toilet, eating a greasy burger, or walking down the street. One significant epiphany came to me when I was eight, while watching a korean drama on the television. I remember thinking I probably should have started doing my homework, but I decided wispy, curly hair of a rich korean deemed more interesting. Scenes were getting intense, and suddenly it hit me, I couldn't keep putting off my studies. I had to adjust. I had to change. I grabbed my cinderella stroller bag (those were the fad, during my childhood years), and dragged it up to our study room. With sudden ferocity I breezed through multiplication tables and handwriting worksheets, and I felt proud of myself.

This chapter begins in a rough spot on the grounds that Ben's mom has to tell the boys their work they must complete to catch up in school. Ben talks about how he wants to know his mother's decision, but at the last minute he starts to become worried and decides that he would rather not hear the verdict. This comment in the book just makes me think of how any other little kid acts. They change their mind a countless number of times in one day. It helps remind me even people that grow up to be remarkably disciplined and successful in life were once little kids as well, and they acted like every other little kid their age.…
