My First Day Of High School Narrative Essay

I woke up as my alarm went off, and shortly I get into the shower, and I get ready. As I got into my car and drove off to school. I remembered high school as being fun and interesting. As I looked down at my class schedule I heard the first-hour bell ring. The class had come to an end and I started to walk into the hallway, I remember seeing my friends and we talked. Approaching the cafeteria, I saw deans in the room as they were there to make sure students did not sneak in. I bought a water bottle and sandwich. I checked my watch to see there were four minutes left before the third-hour starts. Starting to walk to the bathroom I extended my hand toward the door and I reached for the doorknob. Finishing using the bathroom I left and saw posters and gold papers on the walls around the hallways for upcoming events. This high school had been my home for the past three years and this was going to be my last year. It was a new school year and was my last first day of the senior year I felt invincible. Tonight was the senior night I remembered. I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body as excitement jumped around in my body. At the time I was in English class ,and the teacher was telling us we would be reading “Beowulf” by Seamus Heaney. Everyone in the class sighed and dreaded as the book was being passed around, but English class was a special class to me because I learned much as the teacher made the class enjoyable. The teacher was a bit odd but none the less knew what he was doing and being in the senior year this had been another year having the teacher for English. Every teacher was nice but this English teacher was my favorite, though. The classrooms were relatively small, and all of the seats are new desks that looked to be made of wood. They were light and easily moveable. I can recall the classes had about twenty students per class. Another detail was that every classroom had posters on the wall, the posters were cheesy but interesting. Classes got boring and they passed the time and some teachers would refer to the posters once in a while. Most classrooms had two to three windows open because the school did not want to pay more for air conditioning. The windows in the room became a student 's best friend as every student would say. Everyday somebody would walk into a class and open the window, I would always wait for the bell in class. The bell was loud and ran for approximately four seconds. It sounded like the old cliché classrooms bells and I always had loved lunchtime. I remembered going to the cafeteria every day. The line to buy lunch was always long. The lunch ladies would always give me extra food. …show more content…
Two girls were arguing with each other on the first day of high school. The two girls who were fighting were in my English class from earlier. They were fighting over a guy they both are talking to. One of them was a senior and the other was a junior. The fighting at the time didn’t make sense as the guy played them and they had been mad at each other. As they fighting a huge circle formed around them and a dean tried to make his way through the circle. The junior girl got an earring ripped out and her shirt got torn. Walking my way to my math class my friend comes up behind me. We start to talk about our day and the fight started to ensue. He told me that he’s also in my math class. We sat down in class and he sat next to his girlfriend. The math teacher introduced us to a new girl in the class, it was her first year and she looked young for being a senior. The teacher passed around her syllabus, telling us the guidelines for the class, and mentioned that the class is somewhat difficult. Time went by and class ended, and the last bell rang for the day. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my car keys. Sitting in the driver’s seat I thought to myself this year will be a great senior

I didn’t not know what I was expecting. On the first day of high school, I stepped into a crowd of students, waiting to enter the building that would become my second home for the next four years. I didn’ not know where I would stand among these highly accomplished individuals, or if I would even amount to the standards set before me. Self-doubt began to fester inside of me as soon as I stepped through the front doors. I expected less and less of myself as time went on.…

As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…

Having an untied shoelace during the pacer test is every kid’s worst nightmare. My shoe was very loose and felt like it was about to fly right off my foot. I kept running through it, but every second it felt more and more strange and awkward. How will I keep going? I woke up at 6:15; i showered, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and every morning I always hear my mom say “Alex you need to put your dirty clothes in the hamper.”…

My first week of high school was pretty good. I like all of my teachers, and my classes are in a good order. It was difficult waking up early on the first day because prior to then, the earliest I had woken up during the summer was 8:00. I got lost going to FACS on the first day, and then again on the second day. I found my regular classes easily enough, and I haven’t gotten any tardies.…

Alyssa, the Tutor I was sitting in my sixth grade class, eager to see what we would be doing for the day. My teacher, Mrs. Sobus, was passing out papers from the tests we had last week. I had a feeling I did not do so well considering my scores from tests in the past. I anxiously sat in my seat and looked around the big, white classroom covered in shark images. As I looked around, I saw everyone talking to each other and being happy with their grades and there I sat with a devastated face.…

Development Scared, nervous, and unhappy would describe how I felt about taking a college English class. English was my most dreaded subject, and always has been simply because there is not always a right answer. Never the less I walked into my first day of English 101 dreading what was to come, however I left with an open mind.…

My First Time Babysitting It was a dark rainy Friday evening, school just let out for the weekend and I was free except I still had one thing to do left, as I was doing a weird walk jog across the campus while trying not to get soaked just to get to the main building, as my phone started to make this weird ringing noise and obviously I got a bunch of looks. When I looked at my phone I saw that my dad was calling me and when I answered my dad told me not to walk home in the rain and just wait it out. Once I got to the main high school building, I walked through the maze of hallways and lockers, and finally just finally I made it to the front of the building. It was still pouring down rain when I looked out of the window, by this time the storm was almost through…

When entering junior high, we were constantly reminded by teachers, parents, and school administrators how different it was from elementary school. It was supposed to be the start of a transition from childhood to young adulthood, and though I discounted many of these sentiments at the time, looking back it certainly was. In an instant, it seemed, everyone started swearing and the hallways began to smell of a putrid mixture of not enough or too much cologne. For the first time we had to change before gym, no one really sure whether it was more socially acceptable to change in a bathroom stall or feign confidence by doing it out in the open. Talk swirled of who got their periods, who was wearing what bra size, and which boys needed to stop cultivating…

It was Friday, January 8th, 2016, the day that started a new beginning (at least in my mind). It started like any other day with me sleeping soundly in my memory-foam bed. I remember I was in the middle of a dream where I was back in my high school AP (advance placement) United States History class being taught by Coach Hunter. I was with my old friends sitting towards the back of the class joking around and having a good time and then out of nowhere a sudden jolt awoke me from my slumber. It was my mother who had woken me up at 5:45 that morning so that I could get ready for the day ahead.…
