My Interest In Occupational Therapy

To whom this may concern,

I am interested in being an occupational therapist. Growing up, I have always known that I wanted to go into the medical field. At first, being a surgeon sounded great, but then I realized that seeing blood does not do me well. After that, I thought that it would be better to looking into being a medical examiner. That also does not appeal to me very much because after awhile, the thought of being around dead bodies gave me the creeps. But, just this year I started taking a class on ASL at a local community college. During the first semester, I knew that I wanted to be an occupational therapist.
I feel like I would be good in this field of work because I am always willing to help anyone and everyone. Compassion and the ability to listen are included among my strengths. The main reason I want to go into occupational therapy is because I can relate to the people and families that may need my assistance. There are also a plethora of minors to choose from. Picking up a minor during my college career is one of my goals, and I am glad that there are many options for me to choose from when that time comes. The campus is a little larger, but the size is not too much of a concern to me because I will receive an excellent education there. Extracurricular activities and sports are not my strong suits in high school, but I plan to get involved in lots of different clubs and/or activities in college. I am interested in expanding my horizons by learning more about myself, and what I can do for others. Although I do not know anyone who has attended this college before, or have met with a rep from there, I am ecstatic to tour the campus before the end of this
