My Inspiring Song Music. The one aspect of life that can change my bad mood into a good one. The one thing that can make my world stop in from spinning out of control when stress is trying to take over. The one simple song can bring back a million memories of a lifetime within a few seconds. Music helps many people overcome the challenges they face whether they are big or small encounters. There have been many songs that have impacted my life; these songs vary from the rap songs my friends and I sing very loud driving down the road to the songs I sing in church every Sunday. High school. Those two words can bring back memories both good and bad. When I think of that time of my life I think of three key thing: The People, Grades, and of course the Football. I went to Dobyn-Bennett High School which all of the students would agree is the true DB over Daniel Bonne who claimed to be so. DB had a diverse set of students like any other high school we had: the popular, the not popular, the in-betweens, the band kids, the ball players, the cheerleaders, the swimmers, the smart kids, the dumb ones, and the ones who never showed up. If you have ever been to a Dobyns-Bennett football game you know that after every time our team scores a goal they sing our school song. The marching band plays the tone while the student section, cheerleaders, and color guard sings the song. I was a part of the Dobyns-Bennett Band Color guard therefore, we set in the same stands as the band therefore we were required to sing and stand dance to this song. The words we sang were the melody; however, our dance moves went along with the rhythm. After the line of the song that says “O'er land or across they sea,” the bass section makes a beat that sounds like BUM BUH-DAH BUM noise and the dance moves stop to focus on the beat. The school song would not be the same if it was played any other
