If you have ever been to a Dobyns-Bennett football game you know that after every time our team scores a goal they sing our school song. The marching band plays the tone while the student section, cheerleaders, and color guard sings the song. I was a part of the Dobyns-Bennett Band Color guard therefore, we set in the same stands as the band therefore we were required to sing and stand dance to this song. The words we sang were the melody; however, our dance moves went along with the rhythm. After the line of the song that says “O'er land or across they sea,” the bass section makes a beat that sounds like BUM BUH-DAH BUM noise and the dance moves stop to focus on the beat. The school song would not be the same if it was played any other
