Over the Semester my writing has improved immensely in comparison to my previous years of literature. Before ninth grade, I would use an abounding amount of simple words like “very” or “because”. In ninth grade on the other hand I have started to and continue to use words and phrases like “exceedingly” and “due to the fact.” This presents improvement in my writing because using words like exceedingly is evidence that the writer is a higher level writer due to the fact that it is a complex word. Another example of advancement in my writing is the amount of transitions I put in my writing. Before, my writing wasn’t smooth, it was more choppy and the topics didn’t flow very well. After I got to ninth grade Paper Rater helped me alot with my transitions.
