According to Daresh (2012) “As often noted by many analysts of effective leadership in any organization, what the leader believes and his or her values will ultimately define the reality of practice in an organization” (p. 2). Therefore, it is paramount for school administrators to always have a well-prepared platform with their believes and values are expressed in a way that all can understand. Furthermore, I am sure that my ability to speak Portuguese, Spanish and English will be a plus when dealing with parents from other countries. Additionally, It is know that instructional leaders must be patient and be ready to listen to what parents, students, and stakeholders. Since I love to help people and listen to their concerns I think I will be a good school administrator.

Every school year, Miami Dade Public School gives me a different schedule with different schools to be served. Usually I visit between 10 and 13 school per week. After so many years I cannot even remember the number of schools I have worked for, but I do remember almost all principals that I worked with. Now that I am studying to be a school administrator, I comprehend how principals should act, and I constantly remember how the principals who I worked for use to treat staff, parents, students, and parents. Some were not friendly at all, but the majority were very good professionals. The time that I spent with them gave me a pretty good idea of how I want to be when I become a principal.
