On top of these matters, my eldest brother is preparing to attend college, as well as the additional medical fees which must be paid off. This was like a brutal car crash, but since we had no one to help us, we carried on slowly throughout the highway of life. It only took a month later until the world had thought that losing my grandparents, my toys, my birthday presents, my smile and my joy wasn’t enough; the universe decided to try to take our home. Threatening us to pay our debt which has accumulated due to our lack of funds, it started with our water, then our lights, then our gas. There was a long point where having no electricity was a norm, candles were lit. To take showers, we boiled water, and used a propane induced stove to make and warm up food, only to leave the morning’s everyday with a smile to school. We prayed to our God every night, and those cries shredded on those nights were the nutrients that led a seed to sprout. The call for our house was overturned, and we finally had hope, that our beaten up car began to pick up speed. We struggled financially for years, but our progress was accelerated.
