Although my athletic scholarship helps pay for my college education, it is important to take other factors into consideration, such as injuries. If I have an injury while playing baseball I no longer can play professionally, but a college degree lasts a lifetime. The light bulb has gone off and I need to try my hardest in my classes and take advantage of all the opportunities I am provided. The main goal of college is to earn an education, and the sports are just a bonus. As a student athlete I will learn things such as: time management, discipline, and teamwork.
