Mother's Custody Case Summary

According to the reporter, the child was taken out of the mother's custody and place in the sister-in-law's custody after mom gave birth. DHS took him out of the mother's custody and placed him with the sister-in-law. On January 8th, mom arrived atthe facility (Crisis Stabilization Unit). Mom had came from Gulfport Memorial. Mom had overdosed on her psychiatric medication (Risperdal). She was also intoxicated. When mom made it to the facility, she relayed the information to the reporter and another evaluator at Crisis Stabilization Unit. Mom told the reporter nonchalantly that she had taken pills prior to her supervised visitation with her child. She said she was intoxicated. After that, mom said she went to see her therapist.
