Steps to be followed by a company which is wanting to use Morphological analysis to create a new product or service. 1. Identify the problem to be solved 2. Identify the dimensions and the options of dimensions 3. Construct the Morphological framework by mapping the dimensions and the respective options. 4. Assess and evaluate the options available within the Morphological framework 5. Eliminate impossible combinations 6. Choose the best combination which solves the problem which was formulated Morphological Analysis of a Pen: The pen in the morphological framework may be combine to form a pen which is a cube or cylindrical., it could be made of steel or plastic. It could be grey, red or blue in colour. The pen could have a nib, or a fine-tip. In this manner the pen could be created to meet the customer demand in the market. Morphological frame work( also known as the Morphological box) can be used to initiate new product development.
