Reflections on Mirror Neurons
Mirroring neurons has been closely observed in the primate species, some which are mammals in the group based on morphological traits. These traits are based on the behavioral traits, geographical distribution, and the deoxyribonucleic acid. The author's main point is that mirroring neurons allows humans and animals to act and observes actions performed by another. The author believes that mirroring neurons is involved in humans so they could learn communication as well as observation which supports the author's main point. “The mirroring system includes mechanism that helps the brain record difference between seeing and acting” (37).The author support his main point by using others credible research to inform readers. The author's purpose of using others research to close any gaps that could possibly create uncertainty. The author uses Pier Francesco Ferrari’s research as an example to support his main point. Ferrari believes that infants has mirror mechanism at birth which supports his argument on facial gesture. Giacomo Rizzolatti research says that memory is formed whenever one observe an action. The evidence that the author includes in the article describes concepts of mirror neurons and explains the influence that mirror neurons has on communication and observational behaviorals. The author says that mirror neurons are the minority of cells in the brain which requires mathematical modeling to pinpoint roles due to the spiking activity. The author also says that an unexplored subject matter is the inhibitors that prevent mimicking. The author demonstrate strong knowledge on describing mirror neurons. The author uses credible sources in the article from Marco Iacoboni, an authority in the field and co-author of the epilepsy study at University of California, Los Angeles. Giacomo Rizzolati, discoverer and presenter of Keynote Address at APS Convention in Washington DC which creates credibility for the author. The author covers different areas of the issues by using sources that explains both sides of the spectrum. Even though, Ferrari believes that infants has …show more content…
Civic Center Park in Berkeley California. The No-Marxism rally members came together and clashed with other protestors. A group of protestors were being observed by civilians in the area. Another group of individuals suddenly got encouraged to express their own beliefs. Nevertheless, one group started to act hostile and scream the others followed. This is a classic “monkey see monkey do” situation. In the article, “Reflections on Mirror Neurons” the author says that humans have mirror neurons that fire when they perceive and take action. The author also changes the direction of his main point and discuss Iacoboni research on the downfall of the influence in rle of mirror neurons. Iacoboni says that many people confuse their action with those they tend to be around. Iacoboni evidence supports the video explained above. I do not feel that the actions of the original protesters and other protestors had no stance because they all felt as if they had demands that needed to be express even though their damens was different. The effect of both sides ended in chaos, so the setup of the protest was incorrect. Many of people demonstrate non-violence protests but since many of the individuals wanted their point to be knowledge, they felt the need to attack one another physically and mentally. I think that many of the
