The concluding recommendations for Milcom is to start with the formation of a special committee tasks with establishing short and long term plans to address leadership, culture, communication, collaboration and employee morale. This plan should include, but is not limit in the following: training leadership in the adaptation in utilizing both transactional and transformational modalities; a hybrid skill set or identifying those who are sensitive to the climate of the organization to help facilitate better communication and solicit greater support from employees. Leadership at Milcom is not short on transactional skills; therefore, this is the reasoning behind implementing skills for a positive organizational movement. Moreover, “transformational leadership refers to “those who inspire confidence, communicate a positive vision, and emphasize their followers’ strengths” (Peterson, S.J., et al.). Seek to educate and appoint corporate-culture historians, a senior-level executive, to establish a continuing process of improvement. This person is responsible for conveying shared values for current, new employees and during the new hire selection process to increase efficiency with recruitment efforts; for a sustainable culture. “Organizational culture plays an important role on increasing organization excellence” – (Iravani, et al). This strengthens knowledge sharing within the organization; therefore efforts can expand into other areas as progress continues.
