To begin, Miep was very brave to help out the people in the Secret Annex. In paragraph two, it says that the stakes were high and she had to quickly save the diary. The Gestapo could of caught and tortured her, but she decided to get the pages and get out. It was also a crime to hide the Jews. In paragraph six, Miep helped feed and and take care of them. She risked her life doing these things so she could do what was right. Finally, she let Anne write about her in her diary even though it was very dangerous. All of these things could of got Miep killed, but she was brave and helped them anyway. …show more content…
In paragraph nine, the article states that despite the threat and fears, she quickly grabbed the pages. She grabbed the pages because she knew the pages were very important. Although there were other things she could have saved, she specifically saved the diary because she knew this diary meant a lot to Anne. In paragraph 11, it says that it was Miep’s decision not to burn the pages. Miep assumed that at one point Anne had named names in her diary, and that was dangerous for anyone Anne named in the diary. Without Miep picking up the diary, the Nazi’s would of had the diary and killed the people that Anne mentioned. Also, we wouldn’t have known about any of these things if it wasn’t for Miep picking up the pages, and deciding not to burn them. In conclusion, without Miep saving the diary, we may not have known about any of these events during World War
