Midterm Shadowing Goals

• My primary goal for my midterm shadowing is to delve into radiology and learn to ascertain radiologic diagnoses from X-rays. The reason being is to be able to identify and examine complex diseases and also be able to prescribe the appropriate medication that will ensure treatment or possibly a cure. For my Semester ending goal I want to also delve into Cardiology and learn the functions of the heart on a deeper scale. I want to be able identify how a thrombus/embolus can cause a myocardial infarction (heart attack). In addition, figuring out how the heart stop and which heart valves it tends to disrupt. I want to accomplish these goals at Banner University Medical Center and other medical centers as well. In addition, I want to perform well under my assigned physician and learn immensely. I want my shadowing experience to not only help me perform well in the medical professions I want to pursue but to also build a stronger connection with patients and to have the ability to bring them comfort and happiness. Furthermore, I want to be fully competent when it comes to interview questions and how to address issues concerning medicine and be able to provide a pragmatic solution.

In addition, getting in requires me to perform dutifully well on my medical exam. I definitely intend to study sedulously for this exam. I intend to take this exam in 2018 or at the latest 2019. Furthermore, doing well in Radiology/Cardiology will help me narrow down the path I wish to pursue in medical
