During Michelangelo’s studies at the Medici Palace, he was able to study under Bertoldo di Giovanni, an Italian Renaissance sculptor, as well as being exposed to crucial patrons, poets, scholars and educated Humanists. He was also given the opportunity to use cadavers to better study anatomy
