As in the Bible David defeats Goliath using just skills and courage. David was a little shepherd boy who decided to fight a stronger enemy in order to save his people from invasion. David wore no armor, all he had was his sling and his courage. Michelangelo made this piece of art because he was asked. He used a water method to block out the marble; then he free carved the marble using a small terracotta mode, his hands and the studies that he made. This piece of artwork tells us that he took a lot of time and effort to make this and that art work was his job. As I had the time to focus and study on Michelangelo, I found out so many interesting things. He worked very hard at what he did best and that was art.
