Michael Jeffery Jordan was born In Brooklyn, NY February 17, 1963 but moved to North Carolina when he was very young and this is where Jordan grew up and learned to play sports. Jordan is regarded as the greatest basketball player ever and helped popularize the NBA and Chicago Bulls in the late 1980s and most of the 1990s. Jordan has had many accomplishments such as being named the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN and is only second to Babe Ruth of the greatest athletes of the 20th century on the Associated Press’s list of athletes of the century. Michael Jordan grew up with 4 siblings including 2 older brothers, Larry Jordan and James R. Jordan, Jr., one older sister, Deloris, and one younger sister, Roslyn.
