Well, Mexico is characterized for all its “FIESTAS”. Some of the most important celebrations that this country has are: “El Dia de los Muertos”, celebrated on November 2nd. In this day, people honor their loved ones who passed away. “Revolution Day” celebrated on November 20th . In this day Mexicans do a “Desfile” they honor their heroes, the ones who granted them freedom. Most of Mexican people are catholic, and when a girl turns 15, they do a mass to thank God for her life, she wears a fancy, and unusual dress, and it is a way of presenting her to society as a new young woman, and after the mass they do a big “Fiesta”. Another time for doing a big “Fiesta” is when a couple wants to get married, and they usually do a mass to to ask God to bless their love, and after the mass they also do a big celebration. In the south they eat “bacalao”, exotic food like “escamoles” (ant eggs), “chapulines, among others, and they don’t usually eat “cheese quesadillas” their quesadillas are usually of “flor de calabaza” or “champinones”.
