When I interviewed Ricardo Ortega a peer of mine that has lived in Mexico for over ten years then choosing to leave and come to school at Arizona Sate University he said "illness to me is when there is a deviation of mind and body, anytime that occurs illness will arise." In addition, his brother who is two year younger than him also said "illness to me is defined by the imbalance of the mental state that can cause disease or emotional dysfunction."
