Mexican Culture Research Paper

When we talk about culture all we think about is just the food and something old, but what is the meaning of culture? According to Diana Kendall in the book Sociology in our times, culture is the knowledge, customs, and material objects that are passed from person to person and from one generation to the next in a human group or society. In the world are thousands of cultures, some of the cultures are mixed with others. Every community has their culture, for me, my culture is the Mexican one, I have all their beliefs, but not the languages. In Mexico we have 68 languages, probably there are more but they don’t exist anymore. In Sinaloa we have one indigenous language and it the Mayo also called Yorem Nokki. I personally don’t talk Mayo, but I do know the ritual/dances from the mayo culture, the ritual that I know is the Deer dance also called Mazoyiwua and the symbolism about this ritual/dance relates to the bond of the man to its geographical …show more content…
When I was in Mexico we used to decorate schools with the celebration of the moth it could be day of the flag, day of the dead or Independence Day. The way that I talked changed because we don’t use the same words and if I translate them are going to sound weird, even in Mexico some of the words that I use are different from other cities like bichi (naked) plebe, morrito, mocoso (Kid); these are some examples of the vocabulary that we use in my city. The food that we make in Mexico is different from the United States because here we don’t have all the natural ingredients that we need for certain food like mole, we do have mole here in the united states but in Mexico we like to use the natural mole and you can only find it in some places that bring it from Puebla, or queso fresco, in Mexico we use queso fresco in the beans, in tortillas or the way you want it to eat
