Measles is a highly contagious virus, that is most commonly found in children. Measles is a well known virus, that can have multiple symptoms associated with it. There is very little treatment options available that can be used.

The measles virus is called nine or ten days measles because the symptoms start to appear nine or ten day after becoming infected with the virus. Everyone is susceptible to be infected with Measles. “Though is is rare in the United States, 20 million cases are diagnosed every year” (Measles). Measles are found rarely in the United States because the United States is more developed with their health care systems than other countries worldwide. “Before the 1960’s, most children had measles before the age of 15” (Measles (MMR) Vaccine). Measles are most commonly found in children. This is why the vaccine was developed and is highly recommended to have children vaccinated. Measles can spread very quickly and easily. “Measles is highly contagious, 90% of people who haven’t been vaccinated will get it if they are near an infected person” (Measles). From this information, it can be inferred that if you are not vaccinated, you will have a higher risk of getting the virus.
