What is the real meaning of friendship? What is a true friendship? One that lasts a lifetime? It is a relationship of mutual trust, respect and admiration? Though there are many different friendships that people have between each other, most can be considered through true friends, convenient friends, old friends, and special interest friends. According to Merriam Webster, “friendship” is defined as “the state of being friends: the relationship between friends”. We obtain convenient friends as we travel through life. Neighbors, classmates, coworkers, or just someone you met at the store, are some examples of a convenient friend. People who engage with each other grow stronger bonds. Some of these friendships become lifelong. While convenient friendships can be a blessing in our lives, having shared thousands of memories and experiences, sometimes these relationships last as run down habits. These relationships do not last, because some of these people are only temporary in your life.
