He used sermons, pamphlets, hymns, basic word of mouth and even a play. Resulting in it being a little difficult for people to not be exposed to Luther’s views in some way, shape or form. The controversial topic led to people always hearing and wanting to take about it. It also helped that his ideas were making sense to people and they were believing what he was saying as true. The fact that Luther was telling people to not worry about sin and live peacefully with faith and everything will be fine is what a lot of people wanted to hear. Luther views like this were tailored for many different groups in many different ways. Luther made his views attractive to various groups in society in different ways. While using the many different ways to spread his ideas Luther also had to make how ideas appealing to everyone. The Pope was often depicted as the devil and doing unchrist like works. As seen in source six one of the devils is wearing the papal crown meaning he is the Pope. In this image the devil Pope is in hell and chained to him are member of clergy. In source seven the Pope is shown doing the opposite of what Christ did. The nobility is shown in source nine being trapped by the clergy. The way that these groups are viewed in the wood cuts has a huge affect on how the peasants interpret Luther’s views.
