Marinette: A Narrative Fiction

Chat Noir’s manor stood high and mighty under the pale moonlight. Marinette looked confusingly at Alya because the manor was silent like one of those black and white films she loved to watch at the petting pantry.

“So this place is the Sockdollager?” Marinette piqued with a hint of disappointment.

“Don’t worry, this is just a facade for the human's eyes.” Alya replied with a hint of a twinkle in her radiant hazel eyes.

Alya dragged Marinette to the front gate before she put her wand out. Alya mumbled something under her breath, which Marinette couldn’t comprehend. Whatever Alya said as a spell; a spiralled black hole appeared in their line of vision.

“Come along, Marinette!” Alya exclaimed jubilantly as she pulled her into the swirling black hole. It took everything in Marinette’s power to not throw up on the spot.

Marinette felt slightly dizzy as they transported into the boisterous party. The one thing Marinette despised about transportation spells, was that it felt like you’re endlessly hanging upside down on the monkey bars. When Marinette finally composed herself, she found herself drunk at the vibrant colors and the hypnotic music that made her want to dance until she dropped. Marinette smiled like a ditzy woman. Something about the atmosphere made it contagious for her to smile and laugh like a loon. “Let’s go get a Giggle water,” Alya announced as she strode Marinette towards the bar area. “Are you a Dumb Dora, Alya! Alcoholic beverages are illegal,” Marinette bellowed in shock. “I know, but this place is a secret for that petty law.” Alya said mischievously while Marinette contemplated her reassurance. Alya flicked her hair back while she smiled flirtatiously at the bartender. “Hey handsome, why don’t you get us a drink for my friend and I?” Marinette admired and slightly envied Alya’s boldness. If Marinette had to call upon the bartender, she wouldn’t be available to let out a word without blushing furiously. A transparent, yellowish drink, with a mint flowing with it, suddenly appeared in front of Marinette. She looked at Alya with hesitation, but her friend gave her an encouraged nod. “I know you haven’t drank before, except wine occasionally. So I …show more content…
Marinette scrunched her nose like a rabbit when the bitter taste of gin dissolved inside her mouth. Nevertheless, it gave her a tickled feeling in the pit of her stomach, and she started to feel quite Ducky. Marinette felt like she was getting high off Helium, and was a balloon about to alleviate itself. The simple tease of the sugar began to tease itself in her mouth, which made her lick her lips blissfully. “Hey stud, can you get my friend and I another round?” Marinette whispered seductively at the bartender.

“Sure, dollface! This one is on the house,” The bartender replied with a wink and Marinette blew him a kiss as a thank you. Marinette handed Alya another cocktail, which earned Marinette a dramatic applause from her friend.

“Alright, Marinette. You’re becoming quite a Doll, I am so proud of you!” Alya gushed as she took her drink from Marinette’s hand.

“I didn’t even know where that came from, Alya? I wished I could be confident like that all of the time.” Marinette sighed with a frown.

“Do you wanna dance?” Alya asked. She hoped it would turn Marinette’s frown upside

The kiss was warm and tender, and when strong arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer, he knew he’d received the green light. However, he was careful not to come across too dominant and taking his time, he traced the tip of his tongue along the seam of Tom’s lips, gently caressing before seeking entrance. He was instantly rewarded, and sliding his tongue inside the warm, welcoming mouth, he savored the whiskey flavor infused in Tom’s saliva.…

In “The Landlady”, Billy Weaver is lured into a seemingly normal bed and breakfast by an old lady who, despite her gentle and unthreatening appearance, wants to kill him. It is a story about how those with cruel intent may take advantage of those who are innocent and naive. Although the book and the movie can be arguably similar if generalized, there are many differences that may change the way a reader/viewer may grasp the concept of the story. Since a movie and book cannot be exactly the same, the film version is bound to have things that differ from the text. One example of how the book develops the development of the story is with the setting.…

It was a torture to burn. A long time back, Montag had enjoyed the feel of a cold, heavy brass nozzle in his hands, spewing kerosene on the leather bound books, followed by a blazing fire that turned their yellowed pages into black smoke. Cecily is Jack Worthing’s ward. Only eighteen years old, she has spent her entire life alone, save for her tutor and the occasional visitor, in a quaint house in the county. Her studies consist of German grammar, Political Economy, and Geography. Her hobbies consist of gardening and writing in her diary, both of which Miss Prism, her tutor, frowns upon, exclaiming that “such a utilitarian occupation as the watering of flowers” is rather the manservants duty, and remarking absently “you really must put away your diary, Cecily. I really don’t see why you should keep a diary at all” (Wilde 22).…

Some of you will remember this story. It was ten years ago, and I was employed then as a forensic psychologist in Marin County. Much of my work involved talking to criminals, then testifying as to their sanity in a court of law. On the afternoon this all began, for example — that afternoon when I blacked out in Sara Johnson’s apartment — I was scheduled to examine a man who’d been accused of strangling his wife.…

Polly leaned against a wall and observed her surroundings thoughtfully. The house, whose owner she was only slightly acquainted with, was occupied by an energetic party. Everywhere she looked, a different social interaction seemed to be occurring. Two girl friends were engaging in a ditzy dance to the swing music playing, couples were kissing or whispering in each other’s ears and alcoholic drinks were being exchanged amongst every party attendant. The odor of cigarettes and alcohol would have been overpowering to anybody not used to the scent, but it was just a familiar aroma to Polly.…
