Mandatory Reporting

Mandatory Reporting:
All persons hired into positions are mandated reporters and will be provided with a statement, informing them that they are a mandated reporter. The statement will also list their obligations to report suspected cases of abuse and neglect pursuant to California Penal Code Section 11166.5. In accordance with the California Department of Children and Family Services all employees of Creative Minds are mandated reporters. This means that staff must report suspicion or knowledge of child abuse or neglect to the proper authorities. The proper authorities must be notified if there is evidence or are:
• Physical injury by other than accidental means
•subjected to willful cruelty or unjustifiable
