May it please the court, council member of the jury.

Brigham Young once said “You educate a man you educate a man. You educate a woman you educate a generation.” This quote clearly signifies the importance of female education. Ladies and gentlemen, have you heard of Michelle Bachelet, Julia Gillard, Graca Michel, Erna Solberg? These women I just mentioned were female education rights activist. My client here, Malala Yousafzai is also a female education rights activist. However, just because of her religion and her background, on October 9, 2012 the Taliban tried to assassinate Malala.

In developing countries such as Pakistan, people to this day still don’t have, even just the basic rights of the rights we have. Malala was born in a very conservative small town named Mingora in the Swat District of Pakistan, on July 12, 1997. Since Malala was a young girl, she demanded which

The Taliban banned girls in Malala’s valley and she began to receive death threats. On Oct 9, 2012, she was shot on the bus while going to school. Fortunately, she miraculously survived the incident. Malala did not give up, but was more determined to receive the rights to girl’s education. At the age of 17, Malala set the record as the youngest person to have received the Nobel Peace Prize after miraculously surviving an assassination attempt by the Taliban in Pakistan. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif congratulated Malala saying, “She is a pride of Pakistan, she has made her countrymen proud. Her achievement is unparalleled and unequaled. Girls and boys of the world should take the lead from her struggle and commitment.” During an interview with Emma Watson, who is a female rights activists, Malala quoted, ”I want to see every child to have quality
