Macbeth A Tragic Hero
What makes a tragic hero? Is it greed, lust, pride? Or is it common human imperfection?
In Shakespeare’s Macbeth; Macbeth, Thane of Glamis becomes hungry for power after he learns about his life's prophecy and does the unthinkable to become more powerful. Blinded by his greed Macbeth seals his fate and pays the ultimate price for his misdeeds. A Greek philosopher known as Aristotle believed that true tragedies are self inflicted and personal. Macbeth shows that this is true by declining into wickedness and letting his own consciousness drive him into insanity.
