The purpose of the lab was to see is a constructed lunar lander would safely land astronauts to the surface of the moon. An actual lander was not built however a lunar lander was built out of cardboard, plastic, cups, marshmallows, index cards, and straws. With these materials, a replica of a lunar lander was made however with different step process, for example a rectangular cardboard base instead of a circular one. A lunar lander was successfully built and got a chance to improve it. After improving the lunar lander from different perspectives, the main focus arrived to where it had to be tested to see if it was successful in safely transporting astronauts on a rocky surface.
