You possibly don’t think about these type of situations, because we think “Oh it won’t happen to us.” but in reality we never know if it’ll happen to us or not. To be independent or do everything on your own? Well in cast away and in Lord of the Flies, Chuck and the boys had to become as independent as one can be. These characters from both entertainment pieces develope their own sense of independence; it leads to Chuck's rescue from losing his mind and being insanely creative and the boys mental issues, savagery, and delusions.
