Marijuana was first smoked in America was in the 20th century. Marijuana used to be legal everywhere and then the government started putting a law on the use of marijuana. The reason they put a law on it was because they though it was an addictive drug and it was causing a lot of violence and problems. Now should drugs be legalized for recreational use? No, marijuana should on be legalized for medical uses.
If you legalize marijuana for recreational uses then you run into problems. Some of the problems that could appear, would be fights of who's going to grow it.
