Leadership In Lord Of The Flies By William Golding

William Golding is the author of the novel “Lord of the Flies”. In his novel, Golding uses literary devices such as imagery to portray the theme of leadership. In my essay I described how the conch is a symbol for leadership, which is one of the major themes in the novel.

This is significant because it symbolizes how without the power that he obtained from the conch he is neglected by the boys and is easily overpowered.
