Language Varieties within My Experience There are different languages all over the world, this is what makes each individual unique. While having an effective way to communicate is important, language is the most necessary form of communication, this is how people express their feelings and desires. The need for language is often times overlooked. No language is wrong, it simply shows where you are from. Your language can give someone a preview of your educational background, economic status, as well as the region in which you live.

During the hurricane that destroyed several parts of Florida, several of those victims came to South Carolina. While here they used their native tongue. And as they became increasingly frustrated with their situation, their accent, or language began to sound even thicker to the point where I could barely understand what they were saying. The discussion about the utilization of Patois instead of Standard English incorporates various issues and dates back to slavery when Jamaicans had Standard English introduced as an unrivaled dialect and the indigenous dialect was stigmatized to a substandard status. Dialect is the most powerful communication device the speaker holds to express their individual personality and the region that they are from. The utilization of Standard English coordinates the structure of the language in a way that several different groups will understand. Standards English would be the most used in America, because you can efficiently use it to where different groups of pope from different regions can effectively comprehend what it is that you are trying to communicate.
