Even after reading his autobiography, I highly doubt that I understand. In this book, Kyle Maynard's shows how his disability prevents him from being equal to everyone else. It shows how he managed to overcome these problems through hard work and dedication and become the state wresting runner-up. Everybody always treats people with disorders, both mentally and physically differently from everyone else, but nobody actually understands the challenges that they actually go through. I actually know someone who has lost a limb; one of my friend’s uncle had lost an arm. He seemed to be able to go along a normal day fine; however, now I have realized the training and therapy he must have gone through to retain his ability to eat, drive, and hold certain objects the way he does today. In the book, No Excuses, Kyle welcomes everybody to his world where he shows the readers what life is actually like with no limbs and shows the dedication and determination Kyle Maynard has to have in order to be where he is today. Also, what I love about this book is the fact that he totally ignores all of the disadvantages he has and has now used them to his own advantage.
