He had most bought album of the year twice in 3 years. He got kicked out of his house as a teen and overdosed on drugs several times. Despite this, he is the reason a lot of teens are doing good. Kurt Cobain is remembered as debatably the leader of one of the best bands of all time although having a horrible life. Although not a hit, it did alright. 1991 was a big year for Kurt Cobain with getting his next album “Nevermind” in 1991 to be the number one hit album that year. This was because of the unique sound and teenage appeal of Nirvana. He also met his future wife Courtney Love of the band “Hole” in 1991. Him and Courtney got married in 1992 and their child, Frances Bean Cobain, was born 6 months later. The next year Kurt’s now controversial lyrics made him able to pull it off the best selling album again with the album “In Utero.” (Rollingstone.com)
After having two number one singles people started to realize that Nirvana was not just a one-hit wonder but actually a consistently good band. Although, all of this fame was too much for Kurt Cobain and he started to take more drugs because of it. Courtney Love was also a heavy drug taker and influenced Kurt’s heavy drug usage. In 1994 Kurt overdosed on drugs and went into a coma for 20 full hours. He had a perfect recovery though and was just fine.
