I. Roof
Roof leakage is one of the major issues plaguing the high school, except for bldgs. 1406, 1433 and 1437, all other buildings experiences roof leakage during rainfall. Buildings 1402 and 1408 are more egregious than others. In addition, with 1408 housing the main office, IC and Server localities, and leakage is problematic as it can lead to excessive loss of learning materials, i.e. computers and servers. More so, leakage within the main offices presents a disheartening picture to our community, parents and other visitors.
AEC is currently performing extensive roof fix to building 1408. Work will focus on areas directly below the following areas: Information Center Parent Center Senior Hallways

Carpet and Flooring
Many classrooms throughout the high school are experiencing excessive wear and tear to carpeting. Much of the carpeting throughout the school is very old and dated. In some rooms carpets have been taped to relegate security concerns that have arisen from students and staff tripping on ripped carpeting. Mainly, re-carpeting is needed most in Bldg. 1402 (100 Classrooms). A work order has been submitted to AEC, requesting the assessment of re-carpeting in classrooms 101, 105, 107, 116 and 117. Additional areas also include, the Parent Center inside of the Information Center (IC).
There are currently two entrances and exits in Bldg. 1410 that have been surveyed and cited as having asbestos. Both areas are experiencing some erosion to the adhesive vinyl tiles, which is the underlying issue, as students continue to utilize these areas on daily bases. To alleviate the situation, a work order has been submitted to AEC, requesting an assessment to the area in order to identify ways of concealing the area; thereby preventing further deterioration.
