The Kingdom of God As far as the Kingdom of God goes, I know that there are five main principles that all followers of God should follow if they want to be allowed into Heaven after death. These five principles are the principles of promise, patience, praise, provision, and promotion. The principle of promise is the fundamental principle in the Kingdom of God. This principle tells us that we should not attempt anything in our own strength without receiving a promise from the Lord. A prime example of this principle at work is when the Hebrews tried to create the tower of Babel so that they would have a physical object to pray to and worship. By being willing to give up their possessions to those who do not have anything, they are following the principle of promise because they are following in the footsteps of God and doing things that He would also do for the poor. They are following the principle of patience because the Christian community knows that by giving away their possessions, they will be forcing themselves to live in impoverished conditions, but they are serving the greater good anyways, and will be rewarded by God as a result. In Acts 4:34, it says that there were no needy persons in the group because God’s grace was at work in all of them. This shows that the believers were following the principle of praise, because God rewards people who believe in him and praise him. Acts 4:34 also shows how the believers were following the principle of provision because since the Christians were so willing to give up their possessions to help others, God rewarded them by meeting all their needs, because they were willing to give before they received. Lastly, the believers are humbling themselves by not living above their needs, and helping in the community by meeting the needs of those who do not have as much, which follows the principle of promotion and will lead to the believers being great in the Kingdom of
