One of my favourite authors, Gladwell wrote a book called “Blink”, which essentially says one can develop a revolutionary talent only after extensive work. Kanye could influence dozens of young artists directly and countless more indirectly because he used to come home from school everyday and practice making music, constantly innovating with his keyboard. I appreciate how hard he hustled to achieve his dream and use him as an inspiration to not only work hard, but work smart, creatively manipulating whatever field I work in.
Gladwell’s anecdotal style of literature is both funny and informative, something I always cherish. I love his style and how his journey, composed of words, teaches me everything from Biblical narratives to how firefighters perform under stress to the strategies subway officials use to combat graffiti. I enjoy his informative manner, mostly because he manages to remain breezy and light throughout his books. Educating while entertaining is something that shouldn’t be constrained to Gladwell, but adopted across
