Paul Thompson says “ but it can be used as evidence that teenagers are not yet adults, and the legal system should not treat them as such.” i disagree with this because if kids are able to do adult crimes they should know that there will be adult consequences. He also said that most teens are experiencing a wildfire of tissue loss in their brains, but that cannot be the excuse on why their violence and homicidal behavior, which explains why teenagers being young isn't the reason they should be committing crimes.
In my opinion i think Thompson is correct about saying that teenagers are not fully developed but that still gives them no excuse to be killing and causing crimes, it's just bizarre. The teenagers parents or guardians should be held accountable for their crimes because they aren't helping them get better. So Thompson is wrong for saying that teenagers brains aren't developed because once again, if they weren't all kids would be committing crimes.
In conclusion i still believe juveniles should be convicted as adults for adult crimes because if they are able to commit an adult crime they should be treated ad punished like an adult. Juveniles should be convicted as adults so they can get punished for these major
