When Joyce attended school she would make an appearance at St John’s Catholic School. Her mother and father were catholic and so was she. Joyce had owned a rosary. She still is. She was always supportive, kind and always told us to follow our dreams. We had rules, and grandma could be strict but she was that way so that Andrew and I would become adults who were responsible, hardworking and respectful. She always made dinner every night and we always ate together as a family. She worked very hard, but always put us kids first. Sophia Winchel states “She is an amazing grandma, I know we had some rough patches but she is one of the 3 grandmas i have left, I know she has difficulty with things but they say ”things that are bad always have a bright light to come“ Grandma is so kind and caring and not to mention an amazing cook. She had difficulty with her knee and still got up to get to the kitchen and make food, she put people before herself and does whatever she can to make you smile, this is why I love her.”
