Joseph lost his dad in early age so William Johnson who was married to Joseph sister took care of Joseph. William Johnson was a British agent for Indian Affairs who had influence on Brant. Joseph had no one to guide him after death of his father but William Johnson who was married to Joseph Step sister would take care of him as he introduce Brant to influential leaders. If it wasn’t for Sir William Johnson Joseph would have hard time getting up the ranks of influential leader due to the fact that Johnson is the one who took him to wars and introduce him to influential leaders. The war between French and England cost a lot of money so the Britain start taxing the American colonies so the colonies try to fight back by signing petitions, boycotting and burning tax collector homes. Joseph in 1755 needed help to win the war while siding with Britain to save his people land so he try to get four Indian tribes to get together to fight against Americans. While Tuscarora and the Oneida from the six nations supported Americans but the other four would support Britain due to Joseph influence. England would lose to the Americans and the Iroquois would loose there land. The war would go on until 1783 but every body came to peace in 1783 due to Treaty of Paris but Indian people still lost land. The lost of land caused most tribes to move out of the area of the Indians but Joseph dream of all aboriginal state would not come true as he tried to do that though his whole life by fighting for aboriginals land . Joseph wanted all aboriginals’ tribes to join together and stay together as a force but losing the land to the American would not allow Joseph to do that. Joseph after settling down in Ontario would try to appeal to the king George iii in 1785 for Iroquois land but King George made it clear the land can’t be return back. Joseph would from 1785-1795 tired with all force to make all aboriginals state by appealing to many influential leaders and tribes but
