Siddharth Premjith “Remember, this group project must be done in class, and the due date has not been decided,” said Mrs. Wren, “but your idea must be decided today.” One of the groups in this project has 4 students, whose names are Jones, Leah, Miray, and Clark. “Okay group!” screamed Leah, but was interrupted by Mrs. Wren who said that group projects cannot be above a certain amount of decibels.
Leah continued, “Okay group, I have an idea. For our presentation…”
“What is our presentation for?” interrupted Clark.
“Okay, I have had enough of you not paying attention!” exclaimed Jones. “First, you look at my notes when you don’t write down things, and you sit halfway across the room from me! Now you just black out of class!”
“Calm down, Jones!” said Miray. “Clark, our presentation is about Chapter 3-2 in our history textbook.”

Jones responded, “I have my own ideas, and they would make a really good play, and I can also do it by myself!”
Miray watched this whole situation, disappointed, and decided to take a sheet of paper and make her own ideas, hoping to reunite the group.
Holly, Miray’s best friend, asked, “Why are you just sitting here by yourself?”
“My group is very argumental,” responded Miray, “and I definitely cannot reunite them.”
Holly thought for a second, and looked around, when she replied, “I see Leah over there, frustrated and not being able to find an idea. Jones is looking around, sometimes staring at Clark. Clark is playing around, and clearly about to get into trouble. Mrs. Wren is at her desk, quietly observing all of us, at her

Socially group work is often praised. With phrases like “two heads are better than one”, team work seems like the most logical choice for a project. This has not been my experience at Florida State University. When faced with the prospect of another involuntary group project I imagined many possibilities and outcomes. None of which reflect my actual experience with the research I conducted, the way the information was formatted, or my experience with Group 3.…

Jasper Jones is an award winning novel written by Craig Silvey, first published in 2009. After reading the first one hundred pages, the novel has left a positive influence on me. I have enjoyed reading the text so far. Jasper Jones is set in Corrigan in 1965, and it follows the protagonist Charlie Bucktin, a white, skinny boy who wears glasses through his journey of solving a suspected murder and growing up in society.…
