The Miller family lived in a house at Lidtke Mill and worked there. On a beautiful October day during 1873 everything would change for them. John Peterson worked at Lidtke Mill and came to work every morning with his carriage and two horses named Bucky and Buddy. John usually started his day with producing the buckwheat with the belt system and the grain elevators.
That afternoon John was walking to the control room and stepped in a big mud puddle. After about 5 minutes when he got to the control room, he got electrocuted because his shoes were soaking wet from the puddle. He died. Later that day, the Miller family was eating supper when a neighbor came and told them the news about John.
After the neighbor left, they kept hearing a strange voice in their house. They all thought they were hearing things. It was when they went to bed that John’s ghost came to life. He …show more content…
They went to stay with a friend a few miles away. The following day the parents went to the detective shop to tell them what happened, and the kids stayed with their friends.
When the detective got to their house with his very small horse drawn carriage to look for the ghost, he scooped around for something unusual. When the detective got to work he asked Tom and Jean Miller, “Where did this person die?”
They took the detective to the control room where John’s body was but it had somehow disappeared. Then they all screamed “Where did the body go?” Mr.Weppler, the detective, started looking for evidence of John’s ghost and where it might have gone.
John’s ghost reappeared while the detective was there. He also brought some of his new friends named Bobo, Arrow, and Blade who were about 10 or 12 years of age Mr.Weppler thought. The ghost started chasing the detective. Mr.Weppler told the Miller’s, “We need to move somewhere there is higher ground and darker so the ghost can’t see
