Who I would like to thank and why? Times are getting hard nowadays, as far as finances, taxes, gas, job opportunities, and the economy in general. People are still poor without any type of assistance. There are also many killings in this world, even for the smallest things. The help and love that we were once taught to understand has turned into malice mixed with pure hatred. A lot of people in this society can care less of what you have been through or what you are going through if it doesn’t pertain to them. Through my thirty years of living, the one person I would like to give thanks to is Jesus Christ. He has helped me through all of my trials and tribulations. The three reasons why I would like to thank Jesus Christ is because he gave me life, he helped me with my accomplishments to succeed, and he gives me the guidance and knowledge to know the difference between right and wrong. First of all, we do not have control over if we live or die. If life was a light switch, we wouldn’t want to cut it off, because no one wants to die. Right? For me being alive, that is one of my biggest reasons to give thanks. To try and finish any of your goals, you would have to be alive to do it. A lot of people say that when you pass away and go to the promise land, it is a blessing. I do feel that after life there is a better place called Heaven. Being on this earth living and breathing, we still have to handle our daily responsibilities. We intend to take life for granted, but when we think of death, no one wants to die. Being strong in my religion and being a Christian, I do believe that Jesus Christ is the one who chooses if we live or die. Secondly, I am thankful for the success and other blessings he has gave me. We always say things happen for a reason. Sometimes those things can either be good or bad. At this point of time, I feel that everything is going good for me and I am successful in certain traits. My life is not perfect and there are of course minor setbacks. Throughout my life, I’ve had struggles and a few times where I was lost. …show more content…
It is easier to do bad things than trying to live right and do the right things every day in this earthly world. Many of us grow up with the core beliefs and values, which lead us to act the way we feel and think it is okay. Sometimes it is not okay. I know that I am not perfect, but I try to live and do right every day. There are sometimes road blocks such as people and things to prevent me from doing right, but prayer is the answer. I don’t want to wake up every morning thinking negative and not care who I hurt. One of my goals is trying to do what is right instead of ignoring and doing the wrong thing. I thank him for balancing me out because when negative vibes come my way, I try to make the best decision that Jesus Christ will approve of. Without the knowledge and wisdom given to me, I would always be sinning due to this human nature world and would not feel guilty. Again I do sin, but I try my best to do what is right because I do have a

Jealousy comes when one's focus is taken off God and put upon the world. Hebrews 13:4 states “but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” God's Word also states in I Corinthians 3:17 “if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.” The purity of mankind should be maintained, therefore the jealous husband was to bring her before the priest who would carry out all the law. There are many types of religions in the world, all in which different cultures believe in. It is one thing to be raised and taught to believe in a “God” but it is an other thing when that “God” is proven real. Many people believe in a “higher power” but do not want to classify that “higher power” so that it does not change their lifestyle or their behaviour. Humans like to be comfortable in their own skin, with their own beliefs, therefore, they will try and convince themselves in what they believe is real for their own comfort. In that case, couldn 't that be very scary if they are wrong?…
